Saturday afternoon many of us gathered in the old high school gym to be entertained by the current high school band and two speakers, introduced by Steve Keene. The band, under the leadership of director Brad Landess, gave a very impressive and faithful rendition of the THS fight song. Buck Draughon, author of the book Edgecombe County Trivia, amused and educated us with facts about our area. Ron Butler gave a very inspirational talk about relationships.It was an emotional moment as we remembered Reynolds Calvert, the most recent one to so tragically leave us.
